Featured Replies

Hi guys, just wondering if anybody knows if the Octavia mk2 seats will go into the Octavia mk1. Ive just bought a complete set really cheap, and as my car is in the bodyshop, cant compare them at the mo. Tia

Not directly no as they use a completely different type of runner.

Cheers fella. Cant get hold of any decent mk1 seats, so might try and fit the cushions and fabric to the mk1 frames, see how it goes.

You should try to source some golf mk4 recaros, they are super comfy and should bolt straight into a mk1

Cheers for that, didnt know they had the same bolting system. My car is a taxi, so ideally both front and rear have to match, so like i said, im gonna try and transplant the cushions/covers onto the original frames, surely they cant be that different to each other in size and pattern. I dont know if anyone has tried this, as there is nothing on the net. I picked the whole set up for 80 euros, so i might aswell try , if not, I’ll just sell them on.

these are the type of seats I'm referring to and being recaro they are ideal for taxi driving as had them in my previous car and i could drive 5-6 hours with no discomfort and some of the best seats I ever had.  The only thing you may need to swap over are the airbag connector plugs but not an issue if you can soldier.
