Think I've found dye for seats that works

Featured Replies

After 2mths of ownership and not liking VRS interior colour schemes to start with it was time to correct it.

I purchased a litre of black sofa dye and a plant water spray bottle

I've only done one door card so far as this is the hardest material to penetrate but it appears to of taken well and covered nicely, I've allowed it to bake in the sun and when I rub a white tshirt against it nothing comes off

I soaked the material with water first then sprayed the dye over it, work in the edges with a washing up sponge then spray again.

I had to repeat this process twice due to certain bits not taking the dye first time round

Just 3 more doorcards, 4 seats and the carpet left to do . . .

Looks like it's worked well, be interested to see how it stands up in time.

With regards to the carpet, you may aswell buy a black MK4 or Bora carpet and swap it out. Easier then dying the current one I'm sure.

Thats what I was thinking and if at worse the seats dont work out some mk4 recaro leathers will be a nice swap

I'm Interested to know how this lasted, any transfer onto clothes, how does it look now?

Thanks.
