Hey guys. 

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section. 

I'm having an issue turning on both the rear fog lights on my mk2 Octavia. Both did work now only the ns one works. 

I can access the ecu on my laptop but I cannot get them to code. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Got a full autoscan from VCDS or similar?

I'm using a vcds. I'm sure it's the latest version but I'll need to check later.

I can get into the activation menu with the activation code but can't turn them on. 

Second fog can’t be coded with VCDS. Is VCP job by editing the EEPROM in the BCM.

That depends if the OP has a pre-FL or FL MK2. Just need an autoscan to confirm

Thanks for the response guys. I'll need to if it's a fl or not. They both did work but then the os one stopped working. All the circuit checks out ok. So I think it must be a programming issue.

Turns out mine is a fl so looks like it's off to the dealer to get coded. Managed to turn on other lights I was after.
