I have a 2012 Octavia estate which has suffered what seems like a fatal blow to the Amundsen unit.

can any body help What happen was my young child decided that the SD Card slot looked the same as slot used in the food dispensing machines, so he inserted a £1.00 coin but was annoyed that it refused to work (not as much as me),I took the unit out and replaced the blown fuse on the fuse board and the mini fuse on the back of the unit to no avail the screen remains blank and the radio/hand free/sat nav all refuse to work. Please is there any one who can help.

Had either of the fuses you replaced actually blown? I'd say unlikely and it's more probable that the unit has blown the main board inside as there's little else inside other than the cd drive and sd card readers.

If it is the main board then I'd suggest your young child buys you a replacement unit as main boards are not really available, and even if they were then it's still not financially viable to repair really.
