Hi...I'm a new kodiaq owner from Gateshead Tyne and wear. Just wondering if anyone can help...I've been a vauxhall owner for years and quite proficient with software updates to my cars and general repairs etc ...just a few questions regarding the kodiaq ...I've bought the edition dsg 4x4 and wondered what software anyone was using to upgrade specs etc? ..plus on a bit poke around in the car I noticed things like the wiring for the heated seats is in place but not activated ...can anyone give me a list of things that can be updated in my car?
Thank you and looking forward to my membership here

Edition should have the heated seats as part of the standard spec!

Hello, I answered your same post on the other forum. Your Edition does have heated seats as standard and if yours aren’t working, a trip to the dealer for fixing under warranty is required.

VCDS can be used to enable extra functions but for one off use you’d be better contacting a member with VCDS to carry out any mods you require.

Obdeleven pro also quite good. Although maybe not as detailed.

Hi...sorry ...I meant the rear seats ...yes the front seats are working fine

The wiring under the rear seats is for the, seat belt buckle engaged indicator that comes up on the maxidot when the seat belts are used.

Thanks for the prompt replies ...I'll get myself a vcds set up then ...looking at the software it's very similar to opcom and vauxcom which I'm familiar with ...anyone in my area have this set up so I can see it in action?

Thanks

It's pretty expensive. Obdeleven much cheaper.

With mine I have enabled light assistant memory, easy access seats, refuel quantity in maxidot, fan speed lights on auto mode and traffic sign recognition.

I wish they set the fan speed LED's to work on Auto as standard.

Our Octavia is the same, I never manually adjust the fan so the LED's are never on. I find it quite useful to see what speed the fan is working at.
