I wonder if anyone could help with this, its happened twice in the past month.

 

The first time my wife went to start the car having been in it a few mins with just the radio playing. After asking around for jump leads for 20 - 30 mins she tried the ignition and it started fine. The second time we got a bump start from some passers by. Its been fine for a few days since. All else electrical seems fine.

 

I've attached a video - the sound is not dissimilar to a power wrench.

 

Car is manual 1.4 petrol.

I'm sure that's the sound mine made when the battery was nearly dead.
