Octy 1.8TSI, 2011 Cold start/stall rough idle.

 Just had the Maxidot self-change to non-English? Yesterday had a failed light indication that went off today? Also when started yesterday it stalled, no load, revs climbed a bit then died, standing still. Today it did the same when put into reverse (cold). (no throttel) Unsure if related? 

VCDS confirmed front-L headlight intermittent but Maxi still English in the ECU & it had returned to English when I visually checked (?) no other faults.

With VCDS on I started it (9 degs C): it shot to 1100 rpm, down to 800, then went between these two rpm, rough, for @ 1 minute then settled to 900 rpm, smooth as ever?

Thought it a fuel temp-sensor but VCDS had no fault logged for this.  Fuel in 'red;' - vacuum in fuel-tank? Any ideas before going deeper into VCDS (just a nooby with it.) Thanks.
