Hello, most probably because of my playing in vcds, light on a radio does not turn on. Before,when i moved a switch to turn on the lights, lights turned on also on a radio, but now not anymore. Awfull felling when driving at night. When i enter into hidden menu there is an option PWM: on/off. If i change to on, light turns on a radio, but immedialty after i exit from hidden menu lights turns off. I definetelly think that actions are required in vcds, but dont know where. Any ideas?

First thing to do is reverse the changes you made with VCDS. You did a full autoscan and saved the log before you did any changes, didn't you?

Have you compared your original and current autoscans?

 

Did you check the codinglog in the VCDS folder?

Unfortonetelly i did not do any scans yet. This was mu first vcds usage, and it was more like browsing through the menu. I cant rememember of, submiting, ticking or untiking of anything. Maybe this doesnt have to do anything with the vcds,but nothing else coms on my mind. There is nothing under the Radio section in vcds, if i remember correctly, there is a lighting section. I would need to open and see what is there. Is it possible to retrieve from vcds the changes done?

p.s. Voltage 13.85 if the car is turned off. After I started the engine and search for a fault once again, the same fault appear and only 11.75 V voltage? Could be the battery causing this issues, battery is from 2008. (10 years old octavia-petrol engine).

 

After cleaning the fault, radio light started to work, but after the next car ignition an error would apear again, and the light on the radio once would disapear. So, what is this error that is preventing to turn on my radio light. It has something to do with a light switch?

Please post a full autoscan as error codes without context aren't always useful.

 

Have you checked the coding logs in VCDS to see what you've changed yet?
