Hi everyone, I recently bought a Skoda Octavia and has CD player Bolero on it. I am not able to connect Bluetooth at all . Would be worth it to go with retrofit or just to install a parrot device on my car?

I was gonna be flippant and say go for the parrot, especially if you have one wooden leg and a Cornish accent!

 

But, no, really, it really would be down to the work you want to involve. Fitting a different system will need re-coding etc so the Parrot might be a better bet and you can always remove it when its time to sell on. It might be worth sticking this in the Octavia section as those owners may have differing opinions and more info on retro-fit then this as this is the Fabia section. 

I guess its all down to how many dabloons you wish to spend!

Thanks a lot. I thought so. I even thought to sell the bolero and get a Bluetooth DVD player . Would that be an option that anybody would consider?

Good luck shifting the Bolero, I have one up for sale (brand new) and no one has enquired about it.

 

Back to your question stick a Parrot or other Bluetooth device in and take it out when finished, that is what I've done with my vans that have basic radios.

Hi Everybody,

i just didn't have enough time to look into this mater. . My bolero probabily is not equiped with BT module because is not recognising my phone. if I am tu pot a parrot maybe I am not the guy to do it. if i go to ashop they have to do it for me and if I sell the cat I need someone to take it down for me as well. If i buy a 7 or 8 "  stereo with bluetooth built in would that be better? has anyone done that ? any recomandation towards this subject? thanks a lot everyone .
