Towing a small trailer

We currently have a 2008 1.2 Fabia HTP, which we are looking to replace.

Mostly we use our (one) car for local running around, but we do go camping in the UK with our trailer tent 3 or 4 times a year. (It is a braked trailer and has a total weight of 750kg). So we do have to make some compromises with our choice of car.

Our current car does tow  the trailer, but is a little underpowered.

We like our Fabia, and would be happy to replace it with another. Ideally we would prefer petrol rather than diesel

Our local dealer has advised that the 1 ltr 110BHP (Redline?) should be sufficient to tow a light trailer

Does anyone have any experience of (or advice about) towing with a 1ltr 110BHP please?

 

And would our Mk11 roof rack fit the current model?
