1.4 16v service plan / interval

Featured Replies

I cant find any on the web. The var tells me it wants service at 165.000 and the servicebook tells me next service is at 180.000 km.

any one who Can help me?

It needs a service depending on what has been done up to know and when serviced last.

Only you know how it is driven.

Go buy what you think needs doing.

Has it had regular oil and filter changes, when did it get spark plugs replaced, has the brake fluid been replaced?

It has followed the plan from the servicebook.

In the servicebook it says that it should have service at 180.000 km. Written by hand. And the car it self says at 165.000 km.

it is a used car, and the last service was made Winther Oil, filters and belt etc. At 150.000 km

The car will have been left set on Fixed Servicing so 15,000 km (9,320   /   9,400 miles)

or 372 days which ever comes first and someone has written in Flexible / Variable 24 month / 30,000 km / 18,641 miles servicing interval.

That should mean they use Long Life Oil  VW 504 (5w 30 FS LL,  is there an invoice showing they used Long Life Oil?)

Best service it to be on the safe side, just needs an oil and filter change and look see at everything else, check brakes, steering etc etc

then if you do enough km annually then go by variable / flexible servicing if you use Long Life oil.
