Looking to buy something not in the hundreds of pounds bracket that can do basic diagnostic duties for my 2006 Octavia VRS TFSI. Thing is eBay and the likes are awash with items from £6-£1000 so its a minefield. I've short listed the below but still not sure it will do the trick?

Ross-tech spend a lot of time and money to make VCDS. If you want to use VCDS, please buy genuine interfaces so they can keep creating what's probably the best/most used 3rd VAG diagnostic tool...

 

If you want something cheaper, try Carista or OBDeleven.
