I've just got back from the dealers after signing up to swap my Golf GT TDi for an Octavia vRS.

Test drive was great and I got a really good trade in on the Golf as well:)

Should be picking it up on Saturday... Just got to sort out the insurance :eek:

Just got a list of accessories I need to find at a sensible price:

- False boot floor (as per Elegance model)

- Dog guard

That's it for now - if anyone's got either kicking around, let me know;)

Welcome to the forum. I have a dog guard, but it's a Halford's own pretty good all the same and used only once (I don't have a dog!!) fits perfectly and is in mint condition if you are interested.

Does the false floor come as an accesory on mk2? On mk1 it was either fitted or not and not really retro fittable. PS welcome and nice car choice, only just behind the Fabia vRS, inYellowof course

Hello! With the Heat we are experiencing in these days in Italy (more than 30º) I decided to use the the aircon, as last Summer it was really wonderful BUT with my surprise it doesn’t work! I thought there was no gas in the tank but test said there was; I also put new from the beginning but nothing changed: Skoda mechanic told me he doesn’t hear the compressor starting. Thinking to the works I made on the car, I realized I replaced the climatronic panel with the one with heated seats and since

I have just found a leak on my front RH shock absorber. The car is fitted with DCC, so I am looking at replacing it with the Monroe "aftermarket parts" and also replacing the protection kits and top mounts while I am at it. Does anybody know what the correct bump stop length is for the iV, or how I can find out?

Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks

I know that i have posted in 3-4 other topics the photos of my modified console (in various stages) but i think it's proper to have them all in one topic plus informations for the step by step procedure. Maybe another member will read it and try to modify his or someone can find via Google Search the photos and have an inspiration.
