Just wanted to check in as a new member having just found this forum, I have a 16 plate Octavia Estate 1.6 diesel DSG Auto. Had it just on a year now and so far all I've really done is to add the Android auto software from my dealer to give me sat nav on the display.

Looking forward to reading up on this car and what can be done with it, had a 2009 Fabia 1.2 from new before this and just needed a bigger car really so upgraded to an Octavia.

Morning All I can say is that this thread is useless without pictures!! Everyone likes pictures Also, some advice, don’t read anything here. If you think your car is going to stay standard from now on, you are wrong! Enjoy

Hi all, recently bought a 2016 Fabia 1.2tsi with 1 key and it's the push button start, had 2 mobile locksmiths out and both have the same problem, they can cut and programme the keys so it locks and unlocks and will start the car but the new key they cut will only start the car if held right up to the button and then you get the dreaded "key not found" warning and noise,the original key works fine so I can't see that it's a car fault and I can put up with holding the spare key up to the switch a

I have a 2014 diesel octavia estate 1.6 blk edition. Lately, and since service my mpg is alot lower than normal. I understand my car is old but recently ive noticed im using more fuel. Ive asked my usual mechanic and hes replied with the expected answer i thought hed suggest which is weather, tyres, speed, fuel prices and that mpg is never ro be trusted. Im not taking fuel prices into consideration as im seeing my fuel being used up more. Mpg today has been 34,on a route i normally use and get

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? I was looking on autodoc to try and order some nuts as I didn't know how often they
