Hi everyone,

I know how to manually reset counters, but when are "Since start" counters (consumption, distance etc.) zeroed automatically? I've noticed that when I stop and start the car within 30-60 minutes, the counters are still not zeroed.

IIRC it takes about 1hr plus  to auto reset. You can manually reset  if you are offended by it.

I seem to remember 2 hours being the elapsed time before a reset. 

Yes I believe they will reset after 2 hours.

Can this be changed via VCDS?

I have been under the impression that it resets when you turn the ignition off, but I tend to notice the since refuelling the most so might be mistaken.

 

You should be able to hold down the right hand scrolling knob on the steering wheel. Should reset the trip counter

 

 

I know, just asking if it's something we can change, to do it automatically. like if the ignition is off 5 minutes to reset, and not 2 h.

Thats correct but the trip on the multi is different to the on screen "since start"/"since refuel" etc.
