octavia limp mode no power mk2 2009

Featured Replies

Hey

My octavia is driving me mad, it's a 1.6 tdi cr,

I've spent nearly £500 trying to sort it, dpf clean, new secondary pump, plus countless tins and addatives to the diesel and egr value.

The car has been running fine after the secondary pump was fitted, but then the dpf light came on, so I took it for a drive as suggested in the manual and I wouldn't re gen, so I turned the ignition off then on again and now it's gone into limp mode again.

I've forced  a re gen it several times now and the same thing keeps happening, it won't go over 2.5 revs.

The local garage have had the same problem with and it's showing no fault codes on the diog's.

The guys at the garage are baffled like me.

Any ideas what the problem might be, egr issues? I'm trying not to take it to a vag garage as this will cost me a arm and leg.

I've been using a vcds on my laptop to rent gen it, soot levels are low and the ash content.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's a 2009 octavìa green line mk2

Are the pressure sensors fitted to the exhaust in line to the dpf supplying appropriate readings in VCDS?, could be a faulty sensor telling the system to regen when it is not really needed?.
