I noticed in the week that my rear washer wasn't working. Having done some searching on here i removed the carpet from around the wheel arch and found that the hose to the washer had become separated at the rear of the wheel arch area.

I have dried the area out but if i try to use my cd changer i just get the message "no changer" on the head unit.

I also can't even eject the cartridge to get my discs out. Is there a fuse somehwere that i don't know about? i am sure i have chekced the ones in the fuse box but they all seem to be ok.

I am suspecting there is maybe an in line fuse for the cd changer at the rear of the symphony head unit. But it would be good if someone could onfirm this?

I would think that the multiplug on the changer has corroded out.

Most likely you've disturbed the wiring.

Fingers crossed it's just a matter of reseating the plug in the changer.

i have had the plug apart and made sure it was dried out ( used hairdryer) then connected it back up but nothing is happening when i press the cd button on the head unit.

Is it possible that the changer is kaput???

I've just had this exact same problem on my Octy Estate - rear wheel arch space flooding because of a dislodged washer hose connector - and my CD-changer isn't responding. I've had it out, checked the connectors, checked internally for water damage (nothing visible - I don't think the water reached quite that high). There must be a fuse somewhere, even if it's in the head unit itself ...

Mine went to the dealer and they fixed it. It was due to water ingress into the connector i think, not sure what they did different to me but when i picked it up everything was ok again.
