VRS seats...

Featured Replies

They are really "unsatisfying" to me...

And the perfect swap would be the MK2 VRS seats on the Mk3.

Just wondering if it's possible...

The Alcantara seats in the VRS245 not only look fantastic they are supremely comfortable even after a 3 hour drive!

My leather seats on my 230 are also very comfortable

Glad for you,

but while vrs mk2 pd170 standard seats were leather and perforated alcantara, very comfy yet fresh, the plain vanilla vrs 184 are some synthetic very warm fabric and alcantara: really a hell when it's hot.

Even Mk3 not-vrs trim level had less warm seats...

It is possible to fit any seat with the right modifications to the sub frame. So they may not be a straight swap but where there is a will then there is always a way.

Alcantara best of both worlds, cool in summer (27 degrees C on drive home yesterday) and warm in winter (hardly had to use the heated seats last winter).

SHMEE150 recently had Alcantara covering his seats on his red Ford Focus RS because he didn't like the standard seats!B)

Had a MK2 FL VRS and now MK3 pFL. Definitely find the MK3 seats more supportive and comfier.

The face lift Alcantara vRS seats are mint. Look goooooood and are plenty comfy

ok boys,

thank you anyway.

I see that standard vrs seats have only a hint of alcantara while the mk2 were plenty of and are definitely too warm under the sun, when the thermometer reports something like 32°C and you have to leave your car parked outside, and no shade.

Anyway I reckon that such a climate is not usual in UK...
