My current daily 1.9tdi Classic Octavia Mk2 2006 quick question about rear speakers.

 

The head unit is factory Stream version and I noticed the fader returns nothing on the rear setting.

 

As I only use the car for myself and occasionally as a family bus I never really paid much attention to any rear sound output.

 

This got me thinking perhaps as it’s a fairly basic model with electric front windows and manual rear windows perhaps there’s no rear speakers ever factory fitted.

 

Can anyone tell me say if it turns out that no rear speakers are fitted is it likely that there will be at least factory speaker wires? 

 

It’s too blooming hot to go stripping the rear door cards off to check so forgive me for being lazy Haha just hoping others have been in the same position and could advise there thoughts.

 

obviously if the wires are likely to be present it makes things much easier as I’ll just source a couple of speakers from a breaker perhaps.

First thing id do i look through the grille and see if there are any speakers there. You can see them through the grille.

 

If not, id be very suprised if the car had a different loom to those with speakers but couldnt say for sure. Id spend the 5 minutes it takes to remove the door trim to find out
