My other car (S2000)

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd share some pics.

Yes the steering wheel is on the wrong side! I work in Texas 90% of the time so have a house here also.

Thanks!

Still awaiting the Fabia though, only just ordered it 2 weeks ago. 4 weeks to go...

Sods law - I am back in the UK in 2 weeks, for a 10 day trip, so not staying quite long enough to pick up the Skoda on the day it is ready. My dad is the lucky chap who gets to drive the vRS first.

BTW, I see you're from Oxford. My mrs is from Marston ;)

excellent :D

was born in marston actually, like most from oxford :P

Could be worse, could be an MX5!

I'd have gone for the navy blue (dark blue metallic you see in the UK) but we don't get that colour choice here...

blue03.jpg

I bought it used, but I had a choice of red, bright silver, dark silver (silverstone), or this Nurburgring ahem 'baby' blue within my budget/local area cars for sale.

Japan domestic market gets all the best colour choices, that's the same with a lot of cars (MR2 Mk2 springs to mind as another good example).

I see in the UK a pistachio green colour for the S2000 (see link). That's just wrong in so many ways!

Love the S2000.. and it looks cute in this color.. always preffered the S2000 over the 350z or some other cars in its class

Another one born in the John Radcliffe here

I love S2000's stunning cars indeed, liking the colour to, if funds permitted, i'd have one

Well, I test drove the RX8 (240) - ok but didn't feel quick, power delivery very linear. Terrible MPG too, even at $2.40 a gallon it would be expensive to run (I do 60 miles a day).

I did drive the 350Z Track model (has upgraded alloys and brembo brakes) it was a nice car, but I couldn't find a decent low mileage one in my budget.

Also, I wanted a convertible so I discounted both of these cars on that basis also.

I really loved the MR2 Spyder - that car has impeccable handling, but no luggage space whatsoever. The car has no boot, just a couple of spaces behind the seats. If you ever wanted a weekend car that could be fun, insurable and not be a threat to your licence, the MR2 would be it. Surprisingly roomy cabin for a 2 seater too.

I've had a Z3 before now, that was a lovely car, a 3.0i.

Boxsters I looked at quickly, but for $20k you don't get much, a 1999-2000 base model (not the S) and Porsches can be expensive if they go wrong. Also looked at a couple of Porsche 964s (911, G reg to J reg shape) but discounted these for the same reason as the Boxster.

Really happy with the S2000, it is my third VTEC

I had a Civic VTi (96) and CRX VTi (90) in the UK
