rotary light switch "illumination"

Featured Replies

Hi all,

..and I accept this is really petty, but a bit of a niggle.....

..LK spec car with the usual "rotary" dial bottom left right of dashboard with the various positions to turn the lights "off / auto / side / main". As the knob is turned each of the sections illuminates...except form last one, (ie "main")...just wondering if this is normal?

Yes (and isn’t it on the bottom right of the dashboard?!).

..and thanks for confirming it's not just me.. :)

Mine illuminates in all positions, I think but I am going to check.

I am taking mine in for a diagnostic check on the rear wiper motor. I mentioned this to the dealer, they checked one they had in stock and said it was the same...ie no illumination.

....Just seems odd that all the other positions light up and the main one doesn't ...."simply not so clever maybe" ?

I apologise, no illumination in the full on position, only the sidelight illumination indicates lights on. Just checked.

Isn't this because on the original Yeti there was an indicator light on the instrument panel to show when the headlights were on?  This was in addition to the main beam indictor light.

For some reason on the FL the headlight indicator light is no longer present on the instrument panel.  Which wouldn't be so bad if they'd put one on the switch instead, but they didn't.

Or something like that.
