Columbus Version

Hi guys

 

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section and/or if it's been asked before, but is there an easy way of telling what Columbus version I have in my 2012 Superb hatch?  I am trying to find out if I have DAB or not.

 

Also, I have found in my car a MDI cable for an iPod.  I have looked everywhere I can think of and I cannot find a MDI socket anywhere.  Any idea's?

On the bottom left of the radio screen is the bands selector if you have DAB it should show up in the list.

that's what I thought but I only get FM and AM options.

If I remember right DAB wasn’t available on the Superb until late 2012 or early 2013.

Mine's a September 2012 model...

Think it might be to early I seem to remember it started having DAB around late Dec builds.

Pull the headunit out and check for a black fakra connector, if it's not got one, it can't have DAB . MDI connection would probably be in the glovebox or centre console.

 

A VCDS autoscan would also confirm if the Columbus support DAB and if an MDI interface is fitted/connected.

 

If you're not the original owner anything could have been added/removed/changed since it was built
