RNS-510 Columbus Map Update Issue
langers2k replied to Mart160plus's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
The DVD drives can be a bit sketchy these days. There used to be an alternative method (Maptool) where you'd use a CD to start the map update and it would pull it from an SD card. Might be worth trying a RNS-510 repairer to see if they can provide the CD/SD combo to update your maps. Random example of a repairer who might be able to help: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296282628527 -
I'm not super far away and I've got ODIS somewhere, I need to dig out the right laptop and make sure it still works. I've done a parameter upload on my TPMS module previously: Address 65: Tire Pressure (J502) Labels: 3AA-907-273.clb Part No SW: 5Q0 907 273 B HW: 5Q0 907 273 So I assume the D rev should be a near identical process. As for the HBA mirror, you need to reflash it rather than recode it based on the instructions here: https://www.drive2.ru/l/606426293524771900/ It's somewhat more risky but might work

OEM ambient lighting retrofit
langers2k replied to Florin55's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
As per your other thread, it depends what your kit needs. OEM ambient lighting takes a permanent live feed from fuse 8: -
Tourist mode will stop your low beam cut off causing other drivers issues. If you leave tourist mode off and DLA on, although your high beams probably won't cause an issue, the low beam will. That's assuming the system will even take cars on the unexpected side into consideration

Add aftermarket ambient light
langers2k replied to Unecc's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
An OEM kit would connect to permanent power, ground and lin-bus. Probably sharing a fuse with other ambient lighting. I have zero idea what an aftermarket kit would connect to. What do they instructions say...? At a guess it'll want either permanent or switched power and earth. The latter will stop any battery drain but they'll only work with the ignition on. -

VCDS Security acces code for 09 control electronics in Superb mk2
langers2k replied to Kotel's topic in Diagnostics & VCDS
What guide are you following? Pretty sure in a MK2 cornering fogs are part of the lcode and not an adaptation channel... Can you post an auto scan and adaption map from 09? -
SKODA OCTIVIA TYRE BURST WHILE RUNNING IN CRUISE CONTROL
langers2k replied to Deepa's topic in Hellos and Goodbyes
I had my front left tyre blow out on a pothole recently along a wet motorway at 70mph (~112kph). The car continued in a straight line and I was able to pullover in a controlled manner without issue. Based on that, it feels there is more to your sons incident than your post suggests... Regardless, I would suggest contacting a legal representative who's familiar with Indian laws to see what your options are. I doubt many on this forum have many skills in that area- 15 replies

Memory seat not working!
langers2k replied to j.hanratty's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Based on your existing unit being H06, you probably need a replacement fitting. Get it booked in to a dealer - at least for the Octavia it's TPI 2049942/3 -
I think you're vastly over estimating how much VAG/Skoda care about stuff like this Typically, a dealer will only update firmware if the customer complains about an issue and there is a relevant TSB/TPI which addresses that specific complaint. As for the Bolero in a 2019/2020 Octavia, the latest version is 0480 which you may already have. I would be quite surprised if there are any more updates... I posted a copy of the 0480 update TPI a while ago if you want to take a look

Amundsen Mib2 Map Updates 2024
langers2k replied to MartiniB's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
I can't see the village names round me using the latest Europe maps on the last gen of Amundsen running the latest 0480 firmware. Maybe try something like Waze over Android Auto (or carplay) - that does show village names- 93 replies

Sounds like an RNS-315 aka Amundsen+. The maps are copied from an SD card to the units inbuilt storage at which point the SD card is wiped and useless. It's no longer getting updates, the latest is 2020/21 which is V12 if I remember correctly. A dealer will charge loads but there should be a selection on eBay etc...

If you're capable, you can create you're own adaptor very cheaply. Much like this person has: https://wirer.sk/o3_volant22-modul/ Should be doable for £20-30 by the looks. More info from the codes creator here: https://github.com/GabrielMastny/Skoda_2021MUFUSteeringWheel_Converter/blob/main/README.en.md I don't have any first hand experience but it all looks simple enough...

The forum rules/guidelines state no content should promote illegal activity or infringe on the legal rights of others. Helping folk with cloned/pirated interfaces probably goes against that statement so I tend to leave well alone

Your VCDS version is out of date, can you update to the latest please: https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/current.php

Sounds like you should post a full autoscan from VCDS along with an adaption map from 09

Memory settings not working for seats
langers2k replied to trybar's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Very unlikely... Anything after the TPI date should be 'fixed' from factory. That doesn't mean there isn't another issue though with a separate TPI -
You'll need diagnostic equipment to check what the cause is and hopefully just clear whatever code caused the airbag light to turn on. Once on, it won't clear itself
