ARB kits

Featured Replies

i have a 2016 vrs petrol estate, 25k miles

i'm looking at ARB kits and have a couple of questions

- is my car 'independent rear suspension' or 'non independent rear suspension'?

- any recommendations on what thickness front/rear works well?

i want to flatten the cars cornering a bit but don't want to dramatically change amount oversteer/understeer

thanks for any advice

The VRS has the 'multilink' rear suspension not the torsion beam. That's for certain

As far as ARBs are concerned I think you will have 24mm front, not sure what the VRS has on the rear but if it is an 18mm or 20mm quite a marked improvement can be had by fitting a 22mm rear bar of the Golf 7R

Personally I wouldn't go much bigger than the Standard Golf R setup of 24mm/22mm without improving the suspension. You can mess things up and get the bars overpowering the springs and you lose the benefit of 'independent suspension'

I've got a pair of neuspeed arbs on mine made a big difference plus fitting the front upper strut brace

They're both 25mm with the poly bushes

Next question, what is the vrs suspension strut outer diameter, 50mm or 55mm?
