That reminds me. On another thread someone asked what the red things behind the rear bumper are. They are antennas for the phone / call system (3G/4G antennas). The rear radars are visible in the same photo here, highlighted green.

I thought the painted bits were safety features?

I had no idea the passenger airbag was in the retractable lid of the top glovebox...

Are the copper looking pipes for the heated seats?

The airbag is in the top of the dash, not the lid. The bit that says KSS (key safety systems, who bought out Takata Europe last year).

 

They aren't copper pipes, but steel rods, copper coated also known as CCMS which is copper coated mild steel. They are the frame of the seat. The heater is a thin mat which is white with black stitching (well actually you can sees the black heating element). It's on top of the main foam, under the upper grey foam and leather.

Ah I see now, I wonder why they've cut a panel out of the cubby hole cover?

Not sure.  Could be to demonstrate the secondary glovebox?
