Hello, how's everyone doing? I'm looking at buying a Skoda Octavia 2.0 FSI estate. I'm wanting to see if at 4600 this is a good purchase, for a light use town car. It's got 33k miles on it. When are belt changes due on this car? I wonder as it's a 2006 vintage, maybe needing a cam belt change. I hope I can find extra info here.

If it IS a belt system, it will most likely need doing within the next 15K. That will most likely set you back around £500 from a main dealer. Do a bit of homework first, to be sure. Not sure if an Octavia would be best for light town use, oversaw, a Fabia which is smaller and probably cheaper to own and run.
