Orange engine warning lite - Torque lite says no codes logged

Featured Replies

On drive into work this morning I glanced down and noticed I had an orange engine warning light on.

At work I switched off and then started the car again, alas the light is still there.

Plugged in my Bluetooth diagnostic device, went through the usual pairing and then the app told me "no codes logged". That was under both "logged" and "pending".

I've never had Torque Lite fail to find error codes in the past, albeit it's been a couple of years since I've been chasing a problem.

I'm tempted to "clear all codes" anyway and hope the light resets and then allow it to log again if there is a fault there.

If Torque Lite has failed to find an error code, what does that usually mean? What can Torque not diagnose?

Is VCDS or similar going to be my only option?

VCDS Lite with a cheap third-party interface lead?
