Karoq Sportline and Scout

Featured Replies

As above Karoq Sportline and Scout announced in the Skoda UK news section

2.0 TSI 190 CP sounds very promissing. I hope that they will fit the car with a sport suspension, to give a handling according to what's under the bonnet.

Btw, what's the 0-60?

Figures not seen yet. Probably under 7 seconds.

More importantly when is it going to be available to order and how many years will it take Skoda to built it?

I would have though that to be a little optimistic, the Fabia vRS (cosiderably lighter than the Karoq) with 180bhp could only manage 7.3 seconds.

Although according to Autocar;

" The Karoq is also expected to gain a vRS-badged sibling along the line, as Skoda continues the expansion of its sporting sub-brand. At the Karoq’s launch last year, however, a final decision hadn't yet been made. "

now that might be interesting :biggrin:

^^^ Standard Mk2 Fabia vRS could do 6.5 seconds to 62 mph.

 But then the  Skoda hatch & estate were lighter than the sister VW Polo GTI, Ibiza  Cupra & A1 185 ps with the same engines and gearboxes and wider tyres and higher purchase prices

so they were always going to get better performance and economy figures, it is the VW Group way.

It would be nice if any Karoq RS were to have the same 176 kW (239 hp)  2.0 BiTDI engine as proposed for the Kodiaq RS that's being launched at the Paris Motor Show in October - now that could then pose competition for any Supra Ateca :biggrin:
