Towbar coding VCDS

Featured Replies

Hi

I have just fitted a towbar to a 2009 Yeti and an attempting to code it. The module is recognised on the gateway but I am unsure how to code it to the engine ecu and abs? I am unsure of the long coding how do I find out what to enter? Also I am unsure if the electrics are functioning correctly, I have tested with a test light and have no outputs I only have 12v and an earth

you need to use an actual trailer board with lights in rather than just a test light as the car needs to see the resistance of each bulb on each circuit or it will throw a bulb warning which cuts power to each light making it impossible to measure or test anything

Use the long coding helper and obviously ignore anything that isn't fitted.

Ok thanks for the info on the trailer board, will try to borrow one of these and try it.

I tried to use coding assist in engine ecu but nothing came up.

Abs might be easier as according to Ross tech you just subtract some of the numbers
