Beam benders for Mk.II vRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm off to the continent next week, my first time in my vRS, which has Xenon headlights. Am I correct that the Pre-FL vRS headlights can't be converted from drive-on-the-left to drive-on-the-right with VCDS?

If not, would you have any particular recommendations for stick on beam benders and is workign out where to put them fairly straightforward please?

Thanks,

Paul

I believe there is a lever somewhere on the back of the lights to flat beam them for continental driving.

I found this guide for the non-xenon http://www.skynet.ie/~ceason/car/Headlight Conversion Instructions.pdf and I believe it may be applicable to the Xenon too with some minor mods but I didn't find the guide that clear and I'm not keen on the idea of handling my Xenon lamps.

I saw someone on here say that it's do-able if you have the Xenons and Maxidot (I don't have the Maxidot) but it can be done by a dealer or someone with VCDS. I have VCDS. Can anyone confirm it is possible to do this on a Pre-FL mk II with it? If so, do you know which setting it is?

Thanks.

I've never done it on my xenon' s but I'm led to believe it can only be done via VCDS or maxidot on facelift cars. On pre facelift it is via a lever on the back of the headlight only. I have a pre facelift with maxidot, xenons and VCDS and I've never come across a setting to switch them automatically.
