ARB Bushes - DIY replacement?

Featured Replies

Looking to replace my ARB links and ARB bushes with a fresh set of OEM ones.

The links seem like they'll be a doddle but what about the ARB bushes? I havent even looked at them yet so dont know how they're held in place or constructed.

Are they a single ring that has to be slid along the ARB some how or are they split to allow easy fitting ?

Isn't it ALL the bushes that you'd have to replace with Powerflex ones?

Have fun :D

If, like me, you have the mechanical aptitude of a retarted hamster, I get someone to help you. From memory, they aren't a 5 min job ditto the rear beam bushes.

As we seem to play on the same wheel, have to agree.............Get help!

I've a reasonably good grasp of fixing cars. ie. Shout profanities and kick things when it goes wrong.

I'd give it a whirl. Obviously, having no garage it would rain as soon as I starting jacking the car up.

Nah, it'd wait until you had the wheels off :D

....or until the point at which the car has been rendered immobile and requiring another 3 hours of work before returning to a road-going state. After which the sun will come out.

I'm happy to tackle anything on the car - usually only defeated by rusted solid nuts or the lack of special tools.

Arb bushes are no problem at all, undo the bolt on the clamp(other end is hooked into chassis) and remove, bush has a split so you just wrap it round the arb and refit the clamp, doddle:thumbup:
