Hi all,

I have a problem with my 2003 Octy 1 Elegance estate driver's remote locking/unlocking which seems to be a not uncommon problem. Some time ago the remote locking (and warning light) on this door failed but the remote will lock/unlock all other doors.

Using the key will lock/unlock all doors. Also, whether related to this failure or not, the drivers electric mirror adjustment has packed up as well. Nearside mirror adjustment still works. Nothing else is affected (puddle light/interior light/dash door open warning light all good).

Before taking the door apart could this be a door lock control unit or other problem that there is a known fix for. I have checked the wires from body to door and they appear to be ok.

 

All help/advice/information would be gratefully welcomed and appreciated.

@comfortablynumb - You need to continuity check those body to wires, not just look at them. There's also another well known failure where water gets into the multiplug inside the door, and all your symptoms match.

Thanks for the rapid reply Ken. The multiplug will be my first stop after I've removed the door card.
