No more 'S' Model

Featured Replies

Just noticed that the 'S' specification has been dropped.

That, and the discontinuation of the 125PS version of the 1.4 TSI means you now need at least £28,260 to get into a Kodiaq.

They seem, to have done the same here - the factory "Active" trim level has disappeared (that would be what the UK calls a "S") .

We are just seeing the Ambition, Style, Scout and SportLine at present. Active has gone.

I would guess that Skoda are trying to push the people who may have bought one of those into buying a Karoq instead - after all, the 'S' was only available with 5 seats, and was priced to compete with much smaller SUVs.

As for the engine... who knows what's going to happen as you can't order anything with any of the 'current' petrol engines anyway. Besides, I can't imagine the 125PS is at all a pleasant experience for anything other than around town (although I've never driven it, so I could be wrong).

Oh Boy are you wrong!

My 1.4TSI Manual 2WD is a joy to drive, but I speak as a "sedate" driver.

My boy racer days are long gone.  The Kodiaq copes well with motorways with 5 up, and has plenty of performance for someone who has reached the age when safety and comfort take precedence over scaring the **** out of passengers and other motorists.

And the lowest spec is only available with 4WD.

That could explain how I was able to pick up my pre registered Kodiaq SE 1.4 TSI Manual 2WD with 6 miles on the clock for £4K under list price back in April.

Was that the 125PS or 150PS version?

It's the 125PS version.

In petrol, yes. The configurator still says the 150 TDI DSG that's not 4WD is available.
