Hello guys,

 

I've recently bought a SH Skoda Octavia Estate (Combi) 3; 2015; 2.0TDI; DSG 6speeds.

 

I enjoy the car a lot, but I would like to update 2 things for it:

I would love to add a reverse camera and the Skoda Connect feature.

My infotainment's device part number is 5E0035020D, Hardware H44 (see picture attached). From what I can find on the web, the infotainment is Columbus, but not sure if MIB1 or MIB2 - maybe someone here can help me out:)

 

My questions regarding the changes I want to make:

 

For the reverse camera, do I need any extra module, or just the camera and the wiring?

For Skoda Connect, can I activated now, if the car came without it? If yes, is it something I can do with my VCDS or do I need to go to a local dealership?

 

 

L.E. I need Skoda Connect for CarPlay as I have an iPhone.

It’s a MIB1 Columbus. Skoda connect isn’t possible to install but reverse camera is. You may find you’ll have to file the tailgate opening as the camera handle is bigger but it’s a possible retrofit to your radio.
