Something led you to look at the Kodiaq first, don't let 'new car excitement' get in the way.

You're right, it's easy to get distracted. Did the same last week with a 5008.

The space with the kodiaq is a deal breaker, its fantastic. Only concern is what it's like in the day to day stuff, like parking at the supermarket and driving through town. My office car park is tight at the best of times!

  • The LED lights of the SEL over the basic halogen lights of the SE would swing my choice any day of the week.

  • I've just joined the Kodiaq Qlub!    My local dealer told me today that they've got an SE L 2.0 tdi automatic being delivered next month. Petrol blue with beige leather (brave) and ACC. £26,

  • I would say are the extras on the SEL worth it to you? Would you like the electric opening boot, alcantara heated  front seats, Wi-fi hotspot onboard, full LED lights and the KESSY full system to name

Main decision to be made really now is new or used. I can get a brand new factory order SE L delivered by Xmas or a 3 month old demonstrator with 3k miles that has a couple of extras on it (electric driver's seat and something else I've forgotten). Only a grand difference between the two (25k and £25,960). My plan is to pay off the PCP straight away, taking PCP on the used one because it'll get me an extra £299 off and a tank of fuel.

My local dealer told me today that they've got an SE L 2.0 tdi automatic being delivered next month. Petrol blue with beige leather (brave) and ACC. £26,700 including deposit contribution. Just paid my £500 and now just sit and wait!

Congratulations!

5 seat or 7 seat? 150PS or 190PS? 2WD or 4x4?

Sorry, light on the detail! The worst of all of those, best I could afford! 150, 2wd, 5 seats.

You got a good deal.

Don't forget it'll also have ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, lumbar support and auto dimming memory door mirrors, as these are compulsory options if you specify beige leather on an SE L.

Kodaiq SE L 2.0 TDI 150PS 2WD DSG = £31,300

Petrol Blue metallic @ £595 = £31,895

Beige leather interior @ £310, ventilated front seats @ £635 = £32,840.

Electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, lumbar support and electrically folding door mirrors @ £1,010 = £33,850.

Exterior door mirrors electrically folding and auto-dimming with memory @ £0 = £33,850.

Adaptive Cruise Control @ £305 = £34,155.

£34,155 down to £26,700 is a 21.8% discount. That's as good as it gets!

I certainly can't complain. I was only ringing him to ask if they were expecting any stock Kodiaqs in the next couple of months. Turns out they were expecting one that almost perfectly fits what I was looking for.

I still haven't even unwrapped the rubber boot liner for my octavia that I bought from Super Skoda this summer

My SE L has the beige leather seats but they're not electrically adjustable.  I think that's a separate option.

I just tried the configurator again, it is quite poorly set-up.

If you spec a Kodiaq SE L 2.0 TDI 150PS 2WD DSG this is what you see when selecting 'Beige upholstery'...

This suggests to me that both items are needed to be able to have the beige interior, therefore I 'added' both. Selecting the ventilated seats takes you to this...

Here you are forced to add the 'electric adjustment'.

Actually, you only need to select one of the two original options, selecting 'leather' (and not selecting ventilated front seats) means you can progress without having to add the electrical adjustment.

A little confusing, the original pop-up does read 'add one of these options' but only after saying 'please either add or remove the items'.

Either way you're right, adding the beige interior forces you to take the leather, but not the ventilated or electrically adjustable front seats.

I find the configurator very confusing generally!
