Hi can anyone tell me if VCDS can do live data reading to check things to try and find out why am getting bad MPG.

A had a BXE engine in then that failed so got second hand one.

Now is BLS engine in with real bad MPG between 32 / 40

The old engine was great between 42 / 46 

If so how do a do it with VCDS thanks.

Live logging is trivial.

 

Knowing which values to log and what the results mean is much harder...

Them posts are igsactly what a was thinking of on my engine the only problem now is am not that bright with VCDS to check it properly once again.

Do you no much about this vcds because a think a looked at the right thing and mine was -3.9kw torsion dont no if this is right.

A don't no how or were to find the right values a need if mine is out thanks.

I haven't got a PD engine nor have I any experience with one I'm afraid.

 

A quick google gives plenty of hits, seems like people aim for 0 but -1 to +1 are acceptable assuming the belt is properly fitted.
