need a new battery for the vrs , anyone knows any good value ones please

Exide was fitted by RAC on mine last winter, slightly smaller than standard 

I bet that was costly, did they offer the 3 year or more expensive 5 year guarantee for the same battery?

 

Once i needed the RAC out to start a Volvo because i was jump lead less and the Battery i was offered was £160 3 year gaurantee.

After started i drove to my local Motor Factors without stopping and they were nice enough to fit it into the boot space for £79 5 year Warranty.

It was part of cover which is around £100 a year, they turned up in half an hour pouring rain, happened a month after signing up! Got a voltage meter now plugs into 12v digital readout

Is that a Warranty & Breakdown Type Cover, repair and replace parts if needed and have you on your way?

Yes it was just the battery cover one though, was a new customer deal at the time, they try to up it to £150ish at renewal so barter back down again on the phone
