  • The Karoq 1.5 TSI has been WLTP approved, CO2 is 153-168 g/km. Now they maybe can start to drive the cars from the airfield.   OT. Seat Ateca 1.5 TSI get the WLTP prices here in Finland

  • Skodas awaiting WLTP testing being parked up meantime at Milovice airfield.

OK, so what were the differences in emissions with or without the filter?

70kw version has 6g worse with OPF,

80kw is 4g better with OPF,

But the test doesn't mention were they took those numbers.

I think they are official numbers from skoda. So probably from WLTP testing, and imo it means WLTP has really large variance.

( Or OPF is really killing lower powered engines)

Thing is a 75ps car can do 100 km/h.

a 150ps car can do 100 km/h

and a 300 ps car can do 100 km/h all weighing the same weight not are using there max PS.

Just because a car has a bit less power from the 75, 150 or 300 by a few ps and takes a extra bit longer by a couple of seconds getting to 100 km/h often is not noticeable.

Sorry, I'm a bit grumpy today, but that is really not the point of this discussion.

BTW, do you work for or sell skodas?

I did both and tuned them as well and drive them, and dynos are great but putting people and luggage in and seeing what is what is better.

I have never believed in being an early adopter, especially not with VW.

If they build a great car / engine then buy it used after a few months when you know they did, or a year later, let them put their lemons to fleet users to be road test dummies.

Ordered a 1.5 TSI DSG7 on Aug 13th, produced on Sep 18th, WLTP is in and the car has been registered into the national car Database with attached NEDC and WLTP numbers. This is for 18” wheels. Now waiting for delivery in a few weeks.

I think that all the new WLTP values put skoda models out of competition :(

Very sad and feels like the new measuring method only harmed VW group. Disappointing

Checked just the Nissan situation where only Juke 1.6 is approved. The WLTP Co2 values are 180-188 g/km, the NECD values were 128-139 g/km.

The Toyota C-HR 1.2 FWD WLTP values are 154-156 g/km and AWD 184-187 g/km.

The SUV range, crossover and all "not common" type cars are loosers in the new measuring method.

Not the case for Peugeot that for 1.6 Turbo petrol, they claim 134 co2. Impressive.

Thats not on their UK site, where did you get this?

Do you have any links for such tables of this class suvs?

It would be highly appriciated.

The new WLTP is effective in Finland since 1. Sep, because of that we have so many new price lists. Here is the BMW X1 and X3.Screenshot_20180926-182056.thumb.png.dea47e3b549b7dc63090501c1229648b.png

^^^ That deserves a thread / post of it's own.

In General Car Chat or the News section of Briskoda.

Personally I wouldn't be too happy if my built to order car had been sat in a field for 2 or more months especially this time of the year.

Those on the grass might have less chance of having flat bottom tyres as some VAG stock vehicles have in the past.  ie Audi.

So the Oil will be due a sooner Oil change, maybe by the time a PDI gets doing,

or best a Fixed first Oil change, especially as they are sitting with VW508 / 509   0w 20 FS LL.

Obviously Skoda / VW UK will be doing an offer on these First Services or maybe a free gratis.

Variable services @ 24 months when the oil was filled maybe 30 months before then sat in not temperature controlled or humidity / moisture conditions without the engines being run from being parked. (like long term Parking or Hire cars at Airports etc.)

Not unusual, but normally people might be getting 'bargains' on old stock vehicles.

after reading all this, I am so glad I jumped. This practice is surely asking for trouble down the line.

And discharged/shorter life batteries, and damp seats/carpets, and wildlife/insect nesting.

Some may have a problem releasing their parking brakes and those nice rusty discs/hubs.....

I think you are exaggerating all :)
