I've no idea, you didn't say where this 'agency' is based.

It won't be long before he gets a competitor if he's in the habit of telling paying customers that he doesn't want their business and / or asking them to remove themselves from his property.

His customers wouldn't be picking faults with the guys work if he wasn't putting so much effort into being a smart arse.

Whoa there cowboy. No one is looking for an argument here or I'm certainly not anyway. Mine was an anecdotal comment as an offset to what @Roottootemoot had said. His response to that was in line with what most fair and reasonable people would say.

Perhaps instead of basing your post on assumption and trolling for arguments just have a look at folks profiles first hmm...

And the "agency" as you put is Vauxhall.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm simply suggesting that the other end of the scale to that of the Kwik Fit example given earlier, to which the garage owner you chose to mention is operating is equally deplorable.

The only reason you need take offence is if you're in someway connected to the garage owner and objecting to my criticism of his actions.

I'm not sure why you used the word 'agency' instead of Vauxhall main dealer. I questioned it for clarity. Are you saying that the guy hiding used oil filters in peoples boots works at a franchised Vauxhall main dealer i.e. this isn't some private dodgy backstreet garage?

I'll respond to that comment however firstly I will apologies for how far off topic this has now progressed.

No offense taken, you just seemed to have taken an argumentative tone in your posts that was all, I must be mistaken on that point.

As I have commented else where in briskoda under similar accusations I am in no way/never have been associated with the motor trade or indeed the garage owner in question. However in a small community everyone knows everyone else's business and the incidents in question are quite well known along with some others in the locale.

The OP has had the answer to his original question, all is now good in terms of the oil level and oil grade used.

My argumentative tone is directed at the garage owner, or as yet to be confirmed a shady workshop technician in a Vauxhall main dealer.

I am a big supporter of calling out those in all trades who choose to get one over on their customers, whether that be charging for work not completed, or trying to reap some sort of twisted revenge on a customer simply trying to ensure that they're aren't being ripped-off, who most probably are only marking their filters because they've been ripped off in the exact same way before.

On the flip side I am also a big fan of seeing customers who are simply out to rip decent and honest businesses off for their own personal gain punished. It may be that this bloke has been at the receiving end of some equally shady customers, but someone has to take the moral high ground, and this instance it should always be the business owner, he who has a a reputation to uphold.
