There’s been a change in the way cars are tested for emissions and fuel economy this month — with the introduction of the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).

Strangly enough eight are VAG, with some models loosing an engine option . KODIAC loses the 1.4TSI, replaced by a 1.5 . Similar to the Seat Leon Cupra and Volkswagen Golf R, the Skoda Superb hasn’t seen an engine removed from the market, instead adjusted to comply with WLTP ruling. The result is a drop in power, from 276bhp to 268bhp.

Makes interesting reading as engines have been dropped or drop power to comply. Por old Seat seem to have come off worst.

I suspect the GPF is appearing under the bonnet now causing back pressure and thus some power loss......not to mention the reduced space under there!.
