VCDS virgin dumb question, Hex V2 registration

I have just bought a Rosstech VCDS Hex V2 and have connected up and done what I need to do with it for now, it has 10 further uses available and is prompting me to register the interface.

 

I successfully did this with RossTech and got an e-mail saying :

 

Please use ****************** as Transaction ID to "Finalize registration" in the configuration utility.

 

I cannot for the life of me find anything in the config utility asking me for a transaction ID or anything else, I have the lead plugged into the computer, does it perhaps need to be connected to the vehicle?

 

Where should I be looking and for what please?

Start VCDS

Choose options

Choose config

Choose registration

 

There should be a transaction ID text box at the bottom to enter the code into.

Thanks for that, I had replied to the rosstech activation e-mail with the question expecting it to bounce but to my surprise they responded this Sunday morning with the same response as you!

 

My problem was that I could not see or scroll to the bottom of the window where the box was hidden from my view, maximising the window I found it, its all registered now thanks!

 

It may have been because somewhere in the utility I changed the size so that I could read the fault code descriptions easier.

Cool, glad it was relatively easy to sort :)
