Quite the opposite to my experience then.   

 

Stupidly high renewal quote, which wasn't inline with other quotes I was getting elsewhere.  In fact even the "we'll quote you for the sake of it" high quotes on Compare the Market quotes were cheaper.  I called customer services to confirm the renewal quote and to see if a price comparison could be done.  I wasn't helped on the phone and wasn't called back, as promised.  

I called back a week later as my policy was close to lapsing and was asked to email screenshots of the comparison site quotes.  Again, no responses via email despite me chasing up. 

 

Needless to say I went elsewhere and no, your policy wasn't more expensive as it had more features, lower excesses etc.  

 

Based on my experiences of how your customer service handled 'the basics' I'm glad I never had to make a claim or similar. 

@penguin17 similar experience. First year competitive quote, second year someone’s having a laugh and it isn’t me. Nowhere near the competition so you give them a call and they want to know what your cheapest quote is and they want proof so they’ll match it. You provide the print off of the quote for them to match.  Third year and I’m the winner of the most unrealistic quote from Chris Knotts again even though no claims and the same car but now worth less. You call them again and they want proof of cheaper quote and give you attitude as if you’re lying even though you could go to the bottom of the Compare the Market quotes where it’s most expensive and still beat the Chris Knotts quote. You then think why am I doing all the running around for Chris Knott when they should be doing this and giving me the best quote rather than me doing so and then they can suddenly match it. Instead you go elsewhere, save money and no longer have to jump through loops. 

 

Chris Knott, please feel free to use my review. BTW you got the decimal point in the wrong place, it should be 0.94/10

Hi, i'm sorry you've had this experience. Please would you PM me your real name and postcode so i can look into what happened. You shouldn't have been left hanging like that. It would be unusual but I'd like to investigate nonetheless.

Unfortunately, we don't have access to all the insurers and schemes out there so it is possible you might find a lower quote. However, in that scenario we're able to respond as long as we can have proof of the lower quote because we're audited by insurers. I'm sorry that means you have to look around for quotes but we understand that most customers will do that any way, so it's no extra effort.
