Rear parking sensors without being in reverse

Featured Replies

Discovered a neat feature this morning.

Was reverse parking, but as the space was pointing downhill, reverse gear wasn't needed. Instead the car slowly rolled back into the space under its own momentum.

The car knew it was rolling backwards and turned on the rear parking sensors and infotainment display.

Small attention to detail, but a well thought through one.

So was the car in 'reverse' at the time??

I wouldn't think so - silver1011 said "... as the space was pointing downhill, reverse gear wasn't needed."

My Superb 2 wont so this unless you turn on the PDC via the button first.

Correct, the Kodiaq was not in reverse gear.

It was in neutral with the stop start feature turned off.

My 2011 Skoda Superb doesn't do it, progress eh!
