After extending the seat belt fully, to secure a load when the back seat was down, it will not retract.

 

Any advice on attempting to get it to go back and work correctly again would be appreciated

Hi, I had this problem and it had to be replaced under warranty - the belt jammed when the rear seat was put down - it was apparently an over sensitive locking mechanism which locks the belt when it detects movement.

I could release the belt when it was locked by trying to slowly push it back in when pressing down on the top of the seat under the belt.

The problem did not go away though so it will need replacing otherwise it will fail its MOT
