goodbye Ocy VRS begins

Featured Replies

Well its time to begin saying good bye to Ocy VRS ownership.  After over 6 years with a BWA engine i'm starting a new life with a leon1.8 & I just hope for the same level of satisfaction.  I'm still not sure why I'm moving on tbh but i sure wish i could take the engine with me.  Its taken me over 2 months just to come to terms with advertising it.  During my 26yr driving career the VRS is only my 5th car but certainly been the best.  I still get the buzz giving it the beans up a local hill that gets the boost really contributing.  Giddy giggles from the wife & daughter make it a favorite for them too.  Its great to see such good engineering making these cars last so well.  One thing is for sure, I'm glad i ignored the diesel trap and stuck with good old 97RON, much easier keeping those chrome tailpipes clean.  It's polished and prep'd ready for the next caretaker if I can eventually let go when it comes to it.  It thought about keeping it wrapped up in the garage, but a stalled (failing but wont admit) mk1 cabrio is still occupying that space.

I'm sure these mk2 vrs' will become quite a classic & would love to take the gamble,  what do folk think?

Adios , enjoy your new motor
