Demisters Rear boot windows

There appear to be demisters in the rear boot windows on my facelift estate. Just like in the boot window, although they appear to have no effect or be not connected. Like when I activate the boot window demister, it works, but the boot side windows do nothing. Maybe they are not demisters at all...? Anyone have an idea?

They are the FM and DAB radio aerials.

    Thanks for that, I thought they were just really crap elements!!
