We learned yesterday that our 2 year old granddaughter has grown big enough and strong enough to reach and pull the rear door release lever. She did this just before we set off, so I immediately went to the door, removed the gromit and used the key to set the child safety lock, as shown in the manual. I checked to see if the door could be opened from the inside and was disappointed to find that it could. I was even more disappointed to find the same with the other rear door as well.

I've looked at the manual and couldn't find anything else relating to the child safety locks.

Am I missing something? Or is there likely to be a fault?

they are on the inside of the door where the seal is you put your key in and turn

Thank you Skoda1982, I've had another look and realised that I was using the wrong locking point. It works fine now. Thanks again.

Gromit doesn't like it if you try to stick keys in to him:
