Hi all my name is Adam Jones I am 25 and I am a Mechanical Engineer with 7 years of experience running CNC Milling and Turning machine’s. I have just finished doing my HND in Mechanical Engineering. At the company I work we produce a lot of components for the Aerospace industry (BAE, Slingsby etc.) and for companies such as Alstom. I love this job as it is more of a hobby, creating a product from a solid piece of material is quite rewarding to me. My boss also allows me to make part’s “for myself” in my spare time for a small machine rental fee.

 

This is where me posting in here comes in to it. I have made a few custom brake caliper brackets, wheel spacers, engine raising spacers, bespoke bolts, arb tabs, key hook holders etc. that can’t be purchased from anywhere, or if they can be purchased they are massively overpriced. So, I would like to offer my skills to everybody on here. If you have any parts for you project that you need some help with feel free to message me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. My dream is that one day I will be able to start up my own company machining custom parts for anybody who need’s them. I can pretty much machine anything you want. The only thing I can’t do is fabrication work i.e, welding etc.

 

Sorry for all the waffling above. I hope it all make’s sense to you all. Pricing is hard to say because every single job will be priced differently. If you were to find a brake caliper bracket online and the price was ridiculous, then send me a message and I will try and work out how much it would cost and the lead time for you. I must add that because all the part’s will be produced in my spare time out of work they may take a few weeks to get finished. And I can’t take responsibility for any wrongly fitted parts failing. For some reassurance the last set of brake caliper brackets went on to a 300bhp+ MK4 Golf GTI so he could fit his 6 pot caliper, that was well over a year ago and they’re still going strong to this day.

 ARB Tabs, this have been made on a water jet. These allow you to run a ARB with Air Ride, all they need to work is a few spot welds on to the Air Suspension strut and you would be able to bolt your ARB straight to them.

I have also made some custom wheel spacers which I haven't took any pictures of yet, this spacers would allow you to change your 5x100 stud pattern to either 5x112, 5x120 or 5x130 with the use of just one wheel spacer.

Thank you, hopefully I will be able to help a few people out and save them a few £ at the same time. 

I also have a 3D Printer now as well. I'm still in the testing stages of using it and getting to grips with making stuff on it. But if anybody would like me to look at any part's they potentially want making feel free to comment on here.

Custom Gear Knob made today with custom engraving on the top. Also made from T6 Aluminium, turned on the lathe and then engraved in the milling machine. Hi all, 

 

I have made a couple of the custom gearknob's for other people now, and I was wondering if anybody on here would be interested in buying one? I've been selling them for £40 free delivery. The engraving on the top can be anything you would like, with any logo or 3 to 4 letter's. And any speed/gearing layout can be done. I cold even do a large logo in the centre without the speed/gearing layout. 

 

The gearknobs are made out of T6 Aluminium and will come with a grub-screw for fixing to the gear shaft. Please message here with any questions or if you are interested.
