I see that Aldi has this wee gadget in its specialbuys this coming Thursday (18th): https://www.aldi.co.uk/auto-xs-vehicle-code-reader/p/086756235912300.    It claims to work with all ODBII compliant vehicles, and to handle manufacturer-specific fault codes.

 

Anyone have any experience of this thing, or similar?  For £14.99 it looks like it could be handy to keep around for those without more sophisticated kit.  Although I have a bluetooth ODBII adaptor, and Torque Pro and VAG DPF on my phone, I'm almost tempted to get one as a general quick and easy all-in-one diagnostic tool.

I ran a similar one on my Octy. Worked well. Now have Carista and VAG-DPF so don't need anything else.
