Fabia vRS seats question

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

Picked up my new VRS last Tuesday.... wife`s car and a bit of fun for me now and then.

The seats already look a little crappy and I had them Scotch guarded.

The leather option from Skoda seemed a little expensive!!

Do any of you know if any where else does leather so I can maybe keep the grey and black mix??

Any pictures and advise please.

Chip advise too please....my dealer in P`Boro has a contact not superchips any more but I want to put some miles on it first and I dont want too much smoke!!!

Great little car for the money tho!!

Xenons seem to come up a little short on distance compared to Beemer`s I`ve had before??

Thanks.

Hi there

i know what you mean about the price for leather from skoda.

I contacted a company called mike satur he does alot of rover and mg leather retrims and a few friends have had theirs done and are very satisfied and they said they would go back.

Contacted them about leather retrim they my furby vrs and they gave me a quote of about £850 inc fitting.

The only problem I see is that mike satur is in goldthorpe barnsley and the distance where you live maybe far away.

hope this helps

Do a search for "seat surgeons" on the site, lots of people have used them with good results and there will be a price for them some where. Could be in Partners and Promotions but not sure.

Thanks for your help.

Any idea how much it would cost to put those seats in and a link to a web page maybe.

Thanks again.

How about these? :)

Tom those are GORGEOUS.

Dont go to seat sturgeons though, that would be a bit of a red herring ;)

They are really nice, I'd have gone for a perforated lether on the centre black section myself

I don't like how they have a vertical fold in the centre of the insert, but other than that they are really, really nice. I love the black leather on the sides of the seats and headrests, also the vRS logo is where it should be!

It's not uncommon for the Xenons to be adjusted badly when the car is delivered. Resetting them is not a straightforward procedure unless you have access to a diagnostics system, but your dealer should be able to raise them for you.

Seeing as your in/ near Peterborough Jabbasport is on your doorstep for the chip - i had mine done there (around £300) and was very satisfied ( more smoke on torque but i think all diesels do this)

tom, who put the leather in? seat surgeons?

Looks like Transcal leather to me, think they are the ones who are doing the official stuff.

Mine was retrimmed from scratch by a local leather specialist who used the cloth covers as a pattern for the leather retrim. I had a choice of dozens of different leathers so chose blue for the edges ( which most people hate incidently ) and perforated charcoal for the centres - both back and front of the front seats. Note you need charcoal not black to match the other leather trim there already. I'd already decided I didn't want the vRS badges (which he couldn't do anyway) and I deleted the side pockets. He didn't offer piping and I think they look better without it anyway. All this cost
